The editor-in-chief of Vogue was spotted at The White House May 29, sparking rumors that Melania Trump may grace the cover of the magazine.
An image of Anna Wintour was snapped and shared on X, making it seem quite possible that Trump could be featured in the publication for the first time since 2005. Trump has been turning heads with her haute couture fashions and signature style, and would dominate on the cover of Vogue. Although Trump has indeed marked her spot in the magazine, she has yet to do so as the first lady. Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Jill Biden have all been featured in Vogue while married to the president of the United States.

Michelle Obama appeared on the cover of Vogue a total of three times, and Hillary Clinton appeared once. Jill Biden has also been featured on the cover multiple times, the most recent being July 2024.
It’s not yet clear what Wintour was doing at The White House, but the Met Gala is already behind us, so all signs point to this being Trump’s moment to shine in Vogue.
Trump has been much more active on social media in 2025 than she was during her previous reign as first lady, and graced the cover of Hello Magazine in February.

A Vogue cover shoot would be a wonderful addition Trump’s growing portfolio, and would make Wintour’s presence at The White House a welcome one.
