Nooooo! Say it ain’t so!
We’re only 30 days away from The Masters, and though that’s awesome, we’ve received some terrible news that dampens the mood a little bit. And that’s the fact that Tiger Woods has suffered a “ruptured” Achilles. (RELATED: PGA Comes Up With Absolutely Brilliant Idea To Combat One Of Fan’s Biggest Complaints)
The 49-year-old Woods announced Tuesday that his Achilles ruptured when he was starting to “ramp up” training for what a lot of people thought was going to be a stretch to compete in April at Augusta National.
“This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon. The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery,” stated Dr. Stucken in the announcement posted on Woods‘ social media accounts.
As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.

As someone who is extremely excited for The Masters and already has a handful of bets in for The Players Championship for some preliminary fun, I’m absolutely devastated to see this news about Tiger Woods.
Like seriously, how can you not love this guy?

Nothing is confirmed as of yet about him missing The Masters, but it’s looking that way — sad stuff.
