A video shared Wednesday to X proved that American culture dominates, even in the most obscure situations.
An internet user posted a video of Syrian flags proudly displayed at the scene of a Christian event. People in the packed crowd had their phones up in anticipation of the Christmas tree lighting, and that’s when things got real. The song “Hotel Room” by Pitbull began blaring out of the speakers as the crowd that had gathered rejoiced in their Christian celebration. This has to be the most bizarre song choice. The tune boasts lyrics that are completely inappropriate, yet good old American culture prevails once again.

The people in the video seemed completely oblivious to the lyrics that couldn’t have possibly been more out of context for that particular setting.
The lyrics, “forget about your boyfriend/And meet me at the hotel room/You can bring your girlfriends/And meet me at the hotel room” boomed clearly as the Christmas lights flickered on. The song played on, with the words “She like that freaky stuff/Two in the O, one in the eye/That kinky stuff, you nasty/But I like your type” played on.
The camera panned the area and large Syrian flags were in view, draped from the tops of buildings.
Some people in the crowd bopped their phones up and down to the beat of the music, seemingly oblivious to the raunchy words that would come next. It’s unclear how long the song was played as the video on social media cut out fairly quickly, but if the song did continue, the Christians would have been in for a real treat.
The next lyrics in line were, “I’m the plumber tonight/I check your pipes/Oh, you’re the healthy type/Well, here goes some egg whites.” (RELATED: US Officials Fear ISIS Prison Break Will Unleash ‘Terrorist Army’ On Middle East)
This is hardly the type of song to play while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, but hey, we’re glad the Syrian gathering was sprinkled with some American fun.
