“Wheel of Fortune” viewers slammed a contestant over an answer she gave on the show’s Monday episode, hosted by Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest.
Viewers are ruthlessly teasing contestant Gaelyn Nease over what some call an “all-time horrible” answer in the gameshow’s Food & Drink category. The board read, “NE_ _OR_ _HEES_ _A_E.” The contestant seemed to know the answer to the puzzle after opting to solve it — but she didn’t. Instead of guessing the correct answer, “New York Cheesecake,” Nease guessed “New York Cheesesteak,” and lost the game. Viewers trolling her online seemingly won’t let the contestant forget her awkward blunder.
The memes came in fast and furious as fans of the gameshow took aim at Nease for failing to solve what appeared to be a very simple word puzzle.
“I was watching. Worst I’ve ever seen ‘live’ on tv. What a nerd,” one user wrote.
“New Fork Gheeselake,” another user added with an equally ridiculous guess.

“Seriously how do they find these ppl,” one person said. Some users began unearthing answers from other episodes they found equally odd and out of place.
