Marxist Mr. Magoo and failed vice presidential candidate Tim Walz made the dumbest political endorsement of his sputtering career on Friday.
Anti-Second Amendment activist David Hogg previously announced his bid to run for the Democratic National Committee’s vice chairman in December, saying he would claw back young Americans who ditched his party and voted Republican in 2024. On Friday, Walz chimed in with a ringing endorsement, describing Hogg as “exactly the kind of bold … leadership” their party desperately needs.
“David Hogg represents exactly the kind of bold, dynamic, and courageous leadership our party needs right now. He has a unique ability to connect with the American people and to speak to the strengths of our party. I couldn’t be happier to support him for DNC Vice Chair,” Walz wrote on X.

Walz is famous for a lot of things, chiefly among them his inability to properly load a shotgun. He is also well known for being a bit cringe, and a bit of a goober. In his attempt to court young male voters in the eleventh hour of his campaign with Kamala Harris, he failed miserably. So it should come as no surprise Walz is endorsing Hogg, perhaps the only person in politics who’s as much of a goober as him.
Although it’s a dumb endorsement, because the last thing the Democratic Party needs right now to appeal to young people is a radical activist as deeply uncool and cringe as David Hogg, it’s also endearing. Walz and Hogg are perfect for each other. Like two prisses in a political pod.
