Wild video footage showed a luxury yacht rented by a rapper fully engulfed in flames in the Miami River behind a strip club.
At around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19, the 95-foot yacht rented by music producer and artist Metro Boomin docked behind the strip club at 3615 NW S River Dr. in Miami, club employees told Local 10 News. Just 15 minutes after, they said, someone reported smelling smoke coming from the ship. Shortly thereafter, the high-end vessel burst into flames.
“Around 3 o’clock the boat arrived, it was Metro Boomin,” Director of Security at the Booby Trap on the River Michael Marhefka told the outlet. “The boat pulled up and they were on the boat maybe 30 minutes at the dock and we noticed what sounded like fire alarms going off. When we looked at the boat, we did see some smoke inside the boat.”
“We made the determination to evacuate the boat immediately,” he said.
Cameras captured the intense flames as the entire boat was consumed by fire.
Employees of the Booby Trap on the River immediately rushed to aid the approximately 10 people who were on board as the fire erupted. Metro Boomin was among those forced to evacuate immediately, along with an estimated five or so crewmembers, according to Local 10 news.

Local 10 News reported that from 3:30 a.m. onward, the raging fire burned steadily. The video showed firefighters attempting to gain control of the flames, at one point using a ladder truck to tackle the fire from above, the outlet reported.
Firefighters continued their efforts to douse the flames with the use of water and foam as citizens packed the area to see what was happening.
Meanwhile, women appeared to be performing outside as money was thrown into the air, according to a video posted Sunday on Instagram.
The yacht sank into the Miami River just prior to 7 a.m., according to Local News 10.

There have been no injuries reported at this time.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
