Ryan Hartman, you’re next!

It’s been crazy the amount of suspensions that the NHL has handed out this season. I mean, hell, they even slapped Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid with one. You know, Connor “THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NHL” McDavid, that guy.

With that being said though, no player has yet to hit a double-digit suspension … until now. (RELATED: Americans Should Boo The Hell Out Of Canadian National Anthem When Opportunity Arises — Just Like These Fine Fans)

*Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman enters the chat*

The league announced Monday that Hartman is being suspended for 10 games after a recent incident that happened in the Wild game against the Ottawa Senators. Taking place Saturday, Hartman was facing off against Senators center Tim Stutzle, and following a fight for the puck, Hartman drove Stutzle’s face right into the ice.

Hartman will have the chance to appeal the NHL‘s decision, which is interesting considering he could lose a little more than $487,000 in salary due to the suspension.

I don’t know how well an appeal would go, however, due to Hartman having a history of dirty play.

I remember when I used to want 100% violence in hockey and no penalties for any of it, but then you get stuff exactly like this … man, I was naive.
