Women Find Out The Hard Way That OnlyFans Will Never Deliver A Happily Ever After

Little girls used to grow up wanting to be a princess, a pop star, a beautiful actress. These roles all captured society’s ideal of a glamorous life, surrounded by adoring fans and subjects. It’s all so romantic.

Yet for girls growing up in the age of digital pornography, this idealized lifestyle is represented by a new archetype: the OnlyFans creator. And very few get their Happily Ever After.

The Daily Caller’s latest documentary, “Selling Sex,” exposes the side of OnlyFans that you don’t see when you subscribe to curated content. Even those creators who succeed beyond their wildest dreams still have to face the dark side of the pornography industry.

“Selling Sex” is available exclusively for Patriots subscribers. Catch a first glimpse below:

“I have a friend who did OnlyFans … and now she’s like richer than I could possibly ever imagine,” one woman told the Daily Caller’s investigative team as we tried to figure out what normal people thought of the new-age porn platform.

It seems we hear these stories all the time. Perhaps it’s a friend of a friend who now drives a Lamborghini because she sells “tasteful” nudes to thousands of followers paying $9.99 a month. Or maybe it’s what we read in the media: the “cash me outside” girl from Dr. Phil who channeled a viral internet clip into a multimillion dollar OnlyFans empire. It all seems so easy; “If these people can do it, why can’t I?” wonder millions of America’s young women.

And why wouldn’t they? You can set your own hours, be your own boss and rake in buckets of cash with minimal effort — far from the corporate hellscape most recent college grads await. There’s little to no stigma today; women have long been empowered to just embrace their sexuality. Plenty of educated women from “good families” go on to use it to their advantage. And besides, you don’t even have to do anything. You can sit safely behind a screen with a made-up name and only interact with your followers virtually. It seems like a pretty sweet gig.

However, these instant-success stories are few and far between. It’s more common that women sign-up in the hopes of striking it rich, only to wind up selling themselves for pocket change before giving up on the dream altogether. Moving on from such a devastating experience isn’t easy, but it’s something plenty of young women have been forced to reckon with since OnlyFans came on the scene. But you don’t hear their stories in the mainstream media…

Even if you succeed, it still doesn’t guarantee the carefree lifestyle of the rich and famous. The Daily Caller sat down with several OnlyFans creators who are livin’ the dream, so to speak, and yet they still struggle with the dark side of the industry.

Allie Rae is one such success story. She posted on OnlyFans on a whim a few years ago, and was surprised to find she made $8,000 the next time she logged into her account. While she was registered on the way to earning her PhD, OnlyFans paid more — way more. A new career was born.

Yet it didn’t come without a cost. Just because you’re behind a screen doesn’t mean you’re totally safe from weirdos and creeps. Rae told the Daily Caller how a fan keeps stalking her with a drone that he flies up to her apartment. And when you put yourself out there, you open yourself up to pressure to fulfill a range of dangerous and deranged requests. One man offered Rae $30,000 to send him a tooth.

But it’s not always the external factors that cause trouble. Brieanna Lorraine is another success story; she’s done very well for herself as an OnlyFans creator. And yet she still struggles with the lifestyle she’s chosen to lead.

“I know it’s probably not what God wants me to do,” she confessed to the Daily Caller. “I’m human, and I do believe he forgives me.” As for her parents, “They’re not happy with it; we’re not on good terms.

OnlyFans has delivered a glamorous lifestyle to a select few superstars, but sooner or later, they have to reckon with the costs. Digital pornography is never going to deliver a Happy Ever After.

The Daily Caller’s documentary productions are made possible by our faithful Patriots members, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without them. To watch “Selling Sex” and to help support future investigative documentaries, please consider subscribing.
