What a way to introduce yourself, Zac Veen — now we know your name.
When it comes to Spring Training, it gives minor league players a chance to put themselves in the spotlight a little bit and get their name talked about by scouts. Colorado Rockies prospect Zac Veen did that in flying colors Saturday when he clobbered a home run against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
But it isn’t just the 443-foot homer that people are chirpin’ about, it’s also his bat flip celebration. (RELATED: MLB Hall Of Famer Wade Boggs Rings Bell On Cancer In One Of Most Glorious Videos Ever)
When the ball got clobbered off his bat, Veen immediately slung it right at the mound rather than towards the first base line or dugout, and the toss came along with some velocity. The aggression was real!
In Veen’s defense, however, he instantly put a hand up to say sorry after he realized he threw his bat at D-Backs pitcher Billy Corcoran.

Shoutout to Zac Veen for being my first baseball blog of the new season, and I can’t even lie, I am so happy baseball is back. I’m not really sure why, but I’m more ecstatic than usual.
Ahh … you know what it is?
The fact that I made an absolute killin’ off baseball from betting last season, and after football didn’t go as planned this past year after the success I had in 2023, I’m ready to get to an old friend.
Oh, how I’ve missed you, baseball. Welcome back.
